Datasheets
  • Fc ε RIγ Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 51-85 within a C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of Fc ε RIγ of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Fc ε RIγ of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including porcine
  • m-IgG2a BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Fc ε RIγ Antibody (A-5) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Fc ε RIγ Antibody (A-5) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

Fc ε RIγ Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Fc ε RIγ in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fc ε RIγ antibody (A-5) specifically targets the gamma chain of the high-affinity IgE receptor, which plays a crucial role in mediating allergic responses. Fc ε RIγ (A-5) antibody recognizes a protein primarily located on the surface of mast cells and basophils, where Fc ε RIγ is essential for the initiation of allergic reactions. Expression of Fc ε RIγ on these immune cells allows for the binding of allergen-specific IgE, leading to cell activation and the subsequent release of inflammatory mediators such as histamines and cytokines. Localization of Fc ε RIγ enables rapid responses to allergens, contributing to the body′s defense mechanisms. The gamma chain serves as a common subunit among various Fc receptors, highlighting Fc ε RIγ importance in immune signaling pathways. Cytoplasmic domains of the beta and gamma subunits contain immunoreceptor tyrosine activation motifs (ITAMs), which are critical for signal transduction, as phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues within these motifs is necessary for effective activation of mast cells and other hematopoietic cells. Fc ε RIγ functions as a key player in allergic reactions and serves as a significant target for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating immune responses.
