SEE ALSO...

FADD Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody specifically designed to target FADD by recognizing its epitope spanning amino acids 28-209 at the C-terminus of human origin. FADD monoclonal antibody (G-4) effectively detects FADD from mouse, rat, and human species and is suitable for a wide range of applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fas-Associated Death Domain (FADD), also known as GIG3, or MORT1, is a pivotal adaptor protein in the apoptosis signaling pathway, characterized by its conserved death domain structure, which is essential for interacting with death receptors such as FAS and TNFR1. The structural integrity of FADD′s death domain is crucial for recruiting and activating downstream caspases, thereby facilitating programmed cell death necessary for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Understanding FADD architecture provides valuable insights into its function in apoptosis and involvement in various diseases where cell death regulation is disrupted. FADD (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated forms and multiple conjugated variants, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and a range of Alexa Fluor® conjugates, offering flexibility for diverse experimental needs. Anti-FADD antibody (G-4) is an essential tool for studying molecular mechanisms of apoptosis and intricate signaling pathways mediated by FADD, enabling detailed exploration of structural and functional dynamics.

Can FADD (G-4): sc-271748 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, FADD (G-4): sc-271748 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
