Factor B Antibody (D22/3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Complement Factor B of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Complement Factor B antibody (D22/3) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Complement Factor B plays a crucial role in the alternative pathway of the complement system, where Factor D cleaves Complement Factor B into Ba and Bb fragments. Bb fragment forms C3 and C5 convertases, which amplify complement response and facilitate pathogen opsonization. This process enhances antibody and phagocytic cell clearance of microbes and damaged cells, promoting inflammation and tissue repair. Ba inhibits preactivated B lymphocyte proliferation, demonstrating a regulatory role in immune responses. Complement Factor B interaction with Factor H and adipsin maintains immune homeostasis and influences conditions like obesity and autoimmune diseases.
