Factor B Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Complement Factor B, Bb Fragment, of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Factor B antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Complement Factor B plays a crucial role in the alternative pathway of the complement system, where Factor D cleaves Complement Factor B into Ba and Bb fragments. Bb fragment combines with complement Factor 3b to form the C3 or C5 convertase, essential for amplifying complement response. This process enables immune system response to pathogens, leading to pathogen opsonization and clearance by phagocytes.
