EXOSC4 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects EXOSC4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EXOSC4 (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EXOSC4 protein, also known as exosome component 4, SKI6, RRP41, or p12A, is a crucial 245 amino acid component of the exosome complex, which plays a vital role in RNA metabolism by degrading unstable mRNAs containing AU-rich elements in untranslated regions. EXOSC4 is localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm, where EXOSC4 exhibits 3′-5′ exonuclease activity, essential for processing 7S pre-RNA into mature 5.8S rRNA. EXOSC4′s importance lies in maintaining RNA stability and regulating gene expression, which are critical for cellular homeostasis and response to environmental changes. EXOSC4 gene is located on human chromosome 8, a region associated with various diseases and malignancies, highlighting potential implications in health and disease. With high sequence identity to mouse counterpart, anti-EXOSC4 antibody (G-9) serves as a reliable tool for researchers studying RNA processing and exosome complex across different species.
