ERp19 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ERp19 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ERp19 monoclonal antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERp19, also known as thioredoxin domain-containing protein 12 (TXNDC12), plays a crucial role in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) by facilitating protein folding and maintaining redox homeostasis. This is particularly important as proper protein folding is essential for cellular function and preventing diseases related to protein misfolding, such as neurodegenerative disorders. ERp19 is part of the thioredoxin superfamily and contains a thioredoxin fold with a consensus active-site sequence (CxxC), which is vital for enzymatic activity. ERp19 is predominantly expressed in the liver, where ERp19 is enriched in purified liver ER vesicles, highlighting significance in hepatic function and metabolism.
