Eps8L2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Eps8L2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Eps8L2 antibody (F-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Eps8L2, also known as epidermal growth factor receptor kinase substrate 8-like protein 2, EPS8R2, or PP13181, is a 715 amino acid protein primarily localized in the cytoplasm and belongs to the Eps8 family. Eps8L2 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by stimulating the guanine exchange activity of Sos 1 (son of sevenless homolog 1), which is essential for Ras activation, a key regulator of cell growth and differentiation. Eps8L2′s interaction with actin suggests involvement in cytoskeletal dynamics, particularly in processes such as membrane ruffling and remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton. Eps8L2 is expressed in various tissues, including placenta and fibroblasts, and exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, featuring one phosphotyrosine interaction domain and one SH3 domain, which are important for functional interactions and regulatory mechanisms within the cell.
