EPAS-1 Antibody (190b) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EPAS-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EPAS-1 (190b) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EPAS-1 protein, also known as HIF-2α, plays a crucial role in cellular responses to hypoxia, which is a condition characterized by low oxygen levels. EPAS-1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where EPAS-1 functions as a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in critical processes such as angiogenesis, erythropoiesis, and glucose metabolism. EPAS-1′s ability to form heterodimers with other hypoxia-inducible factors, such as HIF-1α and HIF-3α, enhances regulatory capacity, allowing cells to adapt to fluctuating oxygen levels effectively. This adaptability is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and supporting survival in various physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer and ischemic diseases. EPAS-1 monoclonal antibody (190b) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of hypoxia and its impact on cellular function and disease progression.
