ENOPH1 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ENOPH1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ENOPH1 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ENOPH1, also known as enolase-phosphatase 1, E1, MASA, or MST145, is a crucial enzyme belonging to the MasA family of the halo-acid dehalogenase-like hydrolase superfamily. ENOPH1 primarily functions in the cytoplasm, where ENOPH1 plays a vital role in the methionine salvage pathway, a biochemical process essential for maintaining methionine levels in cells across various organisms. Cytoplasmic localization of ENOPH1 allows for efficient access to substrates involved in methionine metabolism, thereby influencing cellular growth and function. ENOPH1 exhibits both phosphatase and atypical enolase activities, catalyzing the conversion of 2,3-diketo-5-methylthio-1-phosphopentane to the aci-reductone metabolite 1,2-dihydroxy-3-keto-5-methylthiopentene, which is critical for methionine recycling. Alternative splicing of the ENOPH1 gene results in two isoforms, further diversifying ENOPH1′s functional roles in cellular metabolism.

Can ENOPH1 (H-10): sc-365155 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. Yes, ENOPH1 (H-10): sc-365155 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
