SEE ALSO...

eIF5 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects eIF5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-eIF5 antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. eIF5 (E-10) monoclonal antibody recognizes eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5, which plays a crucial role in protein synthesis initiation by catalyzing GTP hydrolysis bound to the 40S ribosomal subunit, essential for 80S initiation complex assembly. This process ensures correct ribosome assembly for protein synthesis initiation. eIF5 (E-10) antibody targets a protein that interacts with other initiation factors, such as eIF-2, a heterotrimer composed of eIF-2α, eIF-2β, and eIF-2γ subunits. Formation of eIF-2-GTP-tRNA complex facilitates ribosomal subunit binding to mRNA, representing a critical step in initiation. Understanding eIF5 function and protein interactions helps elucidate translation regulation mechanisms and their role in cellular processes, including growth and differentiation.
