    SEE ALSO...

eIF3β Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects eIF3β in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). eIF3β is a critical component of the eukaryotic initiation factor 3 complex, which plays a pivotal role in the regulation of protein synthesis by facilitating the assembly of the 40S ribosomal subunit. eIF3β is located in the cytoplasm, where eIF3β interacts with other initiation factors and mRNA to form the pre-initiation complex necessary for translation. Proper localization of eIF3β is essential for efficient protein synthesis, as eIF3β ensures that the ribosomal subunits are correctly assembled and that translation initiation occurs smoothly. Notably, dysregulation of eIF3β has been implicated in various cancers, highlighting eIF3β′s importance not only in normal cellular function but also in the pathology of tumorigenesis. With insights into the mechanisms of protein synthesis and potential role in cancer, anti-eIF3β antibody (A-8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical biological processes.

What blocking solution should I use with eIF3β (A-8): sc-374155 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
