eIF2C4 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects eIF2C4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-eIF2C4 antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. eIF2C4 protein, also known as Argonaute 4, plays a crucial role in the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, functioning as a key component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) and microRNA-containing ribonucleoprotein particles (miRNPs). eIF2C4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where eIF2C4 is involved in the regulation of gene expression by mediating the silencing of target mRNAs through interactions with small RNAs, such as small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs). eIF2C4 localization in the cytoplasm allows for efficient processing and degradation of mRNA, thereby influencing cellular responses to various stimuli and maintaining cellular homeostasis. Additionally, eIF2C4 interacts with other members of the Argonaute family, including eIF2C1 and eIF2C2, which further underscores eIF2C4′s importance in the complex regulatory networks governing gene expression and RNA metabolism.
