EBV EBNA-1 Antibody (3EB16) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 1 protein (EBV EBNA-1) of human species reactivity by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). EBV EBNA-1 plays a crucial role in the life cycle of the Epstein-Barr virus, as EBV EBNA-1 is essential for the synthesis and maintenance of the viral genome, thereby facilitating the virus′s persistence in host cells. EBV EBNA-1 is expressed in all EBV-associated tumors, including Burkitt′s lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, highlighting its importance in oncogenesis. EBV EBNA-1′s ability to bind to the viral genome ensures that the virus can replicate and persist within the host, which is critical for the development of EBV-related malignancies. Additionally, EBV EBNA-1 interacts with various cellular proteins, influencing cellular pathways that promote cell survival and proliferation, further underscoring its significance in both viral pathogenesis and cancer biology. With robust performance in applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP), anti-EBV EBNA-1 antibody (3EB16) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of EBV infection and its associated diseases.
