Dyrk2 Antibody (949C2E) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Dyrk2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB). Dyrk2, a member of the dual specificity tyrosine phosphorylation regulated kinase family, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including neurogenesis, by regulating the phosphorylation of target proteins. Dyrk2 is primarily located in the nucleus and cytoplasm, where Dyrk2 is involved in critical signaling pathways that influence cell differentiation and proliferation. Proper localization of Dyrk2 is essential for function, as this positioning ensures interaction with substrates and regulatory proteins effectively. Dysregulation of Dyrk2 has been implicated in several neurodevelopmental disorders, highlighting Dyrk2′s importance in maintaining normal cellular function. Additionally, Dyrk2 exists in two isoforms in human fetal brain tissue, which may have distinct roles in development and cellular signaling. The genes encoding Dyrk2 and related family members are located on human chromosomes 12 and 1q32, respectively, further emphasizing the complexity and significance of Dyrk2 in human biology.
