    SEE ALSO...

Dyrk2 Antibody (6E2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Dyrk2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Dyrk2 antibody (6E2) is available as the non-conjugated format. Dyrk2, a member of the dual specificity tyrosine phosphorylation regulated kinase family, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including neurogenesis, by regulating the phosphorylation of both tyrosine and serine/threonine residues. This dual specificity enables Dyrk2 to modulate signaling pathways essential for cell differentiation and development. Dyrk2 shares homology with the Drosophila minibrain gene, which is critical for proper neurodevelopment. Multiple isoforms of Dyrk2 exist, including a 528-amino acid protein and a longer variant with an additional 73 amino acids at the amino terminus, suggesting a complex regulatory mechanism that influences activity and cellular interactions. The Dyrk family, which includes Dyrk1A, Dyrk1B, Dyrk1C, Dyrk3, and Dyrk4, contributes to various cellular functions, with Dyrk1A showing association with Down syndrome through overexpression in affected individuals. Dyrk2 and related genes are located on human chromosomes 12 and 1q32, highlighting evolutionary significance and potential therapeutic applications.

I am using Dyrk2 (6E2): sc-293487 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
