Dynein IC1/2, cytosolic Antibody (74-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the Dynein IC1/2, cytosolic protein of broad species origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Dynein IC1/2, cytosolic (74-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dyneins are essential multisubunit ATPases that play a critical role in cellular transport by interacting with microtubules to facilitate the movement of cellular cargo toward the cell′s center. The Dynein IC1 and IC2 proteins are integral components of the cytoplasmic dynein complex, which consists of approximately 12 subunits, including two heavy chains and two intermediate chains that anchor dynein to its cargo. This complex is vital for various cellular functions, such as organelle transport and centrosome assembly, which are crucial for maintaining cellular integrity and function. The carboxy terminus of dynein is particularly important for microtubule-dependent motility and is highly conserved across species, while the amino terminal regions exhibit more variability, allowing for functional diversity. Additionally, dynein activity is regulated by several proteins, including dynactin, LIS1, and NudEL (NudE-like), which are essential for the proper functioning of dynein motors in cellular processes.
