SEE ALSO...

DUX4 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DUX4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DUX4 antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DUX4, also known as DUX10, plays a critical role in regulating gene expression during early embryonic development and activates downstream target genes essential for proper muscle differentiation. DUX4′s ability to form homodimers enhances transcriptional activity, making DUX4 a key player in developmental processes. The gene encoding DUX4 is located within the D4Z4 repeat unit, which has been linked to Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle weakness. Understanding DUX4 function is vital, as dysregulation can contribute to FSHD pathogenesis and other related conditions, highlighting DUX4′s significance in both developmental biology and disease mechanisms.
