SEE ALSO...

DRAM Antibody (M3-P4B4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects DRAM protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). DRAM (M3-P4B4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DRAM protein, or damage-regulated autophagy modulator, is a multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the TMEM77 family and is primarily localized to the lysosomal membrane. This localization is crucial as DRAM plays a significant role in lysosomal function, particularly in the degradation of cellular components and the regulation of autophagy. DRAM is highly conserved across various species and features six transmembrane domains along with an endoplasmic reticulum signal peptide, which are essential for proper functioning and integration into the lysosomal membrane. DRAM expression is notably induced by tumor suppressor proteins p53 and p73, positioning DRAM as a vital component in p53-mediated autophagy and apoptosis, although DRAM is not required for p73-mediated apoptosis. Furthermore, downregulation of DRAM expression in human cancers highlights DRAM′s potential role in tumorigenesis, making DRAM an important target for research in cancer biology.
