SEE ALSO...

DPM1 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DPM1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DPM1 (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DPM1 plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of glycosylphosphatidylinositol and N-glycan precursors, which are essential for various cellular functions, including cell signaling and membrane integrity. DPM1 is part of the DPM synthase complex, which is localized to the membranes of the rough endoplasmic reticulum and is responsible for transferring mannosyl groups from GDP-mannose to dolichyl-phosphate, a hydrophobic long-chain acceptor. This process is vital for proper glycosylation of proteins, which affects their stability, localization, and function. Notably, DPM1 requires DPM2 and DPM3 subunits for stability and activity, highlighting the importance of protein-protein interactions in glycosylation pathway regulation. DPM synthase complex is essential for normal cellular function and plays a significant role in disease pathophysiology, making anti-DPM1 antibody (A-5) a valuable tool for research in cell biology and disease mechanisms.
