SEE ALSO...

Dok-2 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Dok-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Dok-2 antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dok-2, also known as p56 Dok, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in growth factor receptor activation. Dok-2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and regulates Ras signaling, which is essential for cell proliferation and differentiation. Dok-2 interaction with Ras GTPase activating proteins highlights Dok-2′s importance in modulating Ras activity, a key player in many signaling cascades that control cell growth and survival. Dysregulation of this pathway can lead to various diseases, including cancer, making Dok-2 and its interactions vital for understanding tumorigenesis and developing targeted therapies.

I am using Dok-2 (E-10): sc-17830 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
