SEE ALSO...

DLC-1 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DLC-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DLC-1 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DLC-1, also known as Deleted In Liver Cancer 1, plays a crucial role as a Rho GTPase-activating protein, which is essential for regulating cell growth and motility. Loss of DLC-1 expression is frequently associated with tumor progression in various human tissues, including breast, liver, colon, and prostate. The gene encoding DLC-1 is located on human chromosome 8p21-22, a region often linked to tumor suppressor genes due to frequent mutations in numerous cancers. DLC-1 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm, and restoration of DLC-1 has been shown to induce apoptosis via caspase-3 activation, thereby inhibiting cell growth and invasiveness, making DLC-1 a significant target for cancer research and therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring function in malignancies.

In the datasheet it is claimed, that it is reactive to human, rat and mouse dlc1. However, the amino acids 111-370 (1-450) of human DLC1 are not present in either rat or mouse. Is there any validation for reactivity with these species?

Thank you for your question. We do have Western blot data using this antibody in mouse, rat and human cell lines. For mouse and rat we have Western blot data in F9 and KNRK whole cell lysates, respectively. This antibody has also been published for use in mouse, rat and human. For an example of a publication using this antibody in mouse, along with the siRNA from Santa Cruz for mouse DLC-1, please see PMID: 30028837.

转膜具体条件是什么?可以用半干转15V、45min吗?

Asked by: 帅123
Thank you for your inquiry. We transfer proteins onto a PVDF membrane overnight at 0.1 Amp. We use a transfer buffer composed of 50mM Tris, 380 mM glycine, 0.1% (w/v) SDS, 10% (v/v) methanol with a final pH of 8.3. For more information please contact our Technical Service Department. Our Asian Technical Service team is available at (+86) 021-60936350 or asia@scbio.cn or by live chat on our website.

I am using DLC-1 (C-12): sc-271915 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
