DIS3L Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DIS3L in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DIS3L (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. DIS3L, a 1,054 amino acid exonuclease belonging to the ribonuclease II (RNB) family, plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism by participating in the degradation of unstable mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements in their untranslated 3′ regions. This function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating gene expression, as the timely degradation of these mRNAs prevents the accumulation of potentially harmful transcripts. DIS3L exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, which may have distinct regulatory roles in the processing of pre-mRNA into mature mRNA. The gene encoding DIS3L is located on human chromosome 15, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Angelman syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome, highlighting the importance of this protein in both normal cellular function and disease states.
