DIS3 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DIS3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DIS3 Antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DIS3, also known as RRP44, is a crucial component of the exosome complex, which plays a vital role in RNA metabolism by degrading unstable mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements in their untranslated regions. This degradation process is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating gene expression, as it prevents the accumulation of potentially harmful mRNAs. DIS3 is a 958 amino acid protein that is widely expressed, with the highest levels found in the testis, and contains a PINc domain that is critical for exoribonuclease activity. DIS3 is localized in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, where DIS3 is involved in the processing of 7S pre-RNA into a mature nuclear complex, thereby ensuring proper mitotic progression. Dysregulation of DIS3 expression has been implicated in colon cancer, highlighting DIS3′s potential role in tumorigenesis. Additionally, multiple isoforms of DIS3 arise from alternative splicing events, which may contribute to functional diversity in various cellular contexts.
