Dia 2 Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Dia 2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Dia 2, also known as DIAPH2 or mDia3, is a member of the formin homology protein family, which plays a crucial role in regulating actin filament dynamics. Dia 2 is primarily expressed in testis and ovary, where Dia 2 is essential for oogenesis, the process of egg development. The presence of a diaphanous autoregulatory domain (DAD) allows Dia 2 to regulate activity through autoinhibition, while the GTPase-binding domain (GBD/FH3) facilitates interactions with Rho GTPases, which are vital for cytoskeletal organization and cellular signaling. Notably, defects in the gene encoding Dia 2 have been linked to premature ovarian failure type 2A, a condition that results in diminished ovarian function and can significantly impact fertility. Additionally, Dia 2 exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within different cellular contexts. With a critical role in actin dynamics and reproductive health, anti-Dia 2 antibody (B-11) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating molecular pathways involved in these processes.
