DHTKD1 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DHTKD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DHTKD1 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DHTKD1 protein, also known as probable 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase E1 component DHKTD1, mitochondrial, plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism as a component of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex, which is essential for the conversion of 2-oxoglutarate to succinyl-CoA and carbon dioxide. This enzymatic process is vital for the tricarboxylic acid cycle, linking carbohydrate and fat metabolism, and is critical for energy production in cells. DHTKD1 is a 919 amino acid protein that belongs to the alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase family and requires thiamine pyrophosphate as a cofactor for activity. Localized in the mitochondrion, DHTKD1 is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 10p14 and mouse chromosome 2 A1, highlighting evolutionary conservation and importance across species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398620 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Detects overexpressed proteinWe tested a sample of this monoclonal. We were able to detect overexpressed protein easily, but endogenous levels of DHTKD1 were not detected in mouse liver. DHTDK1 is well expressed in mouse liver and detected by at least one other commercial antibody.
