    DHRS6 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DHRS6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DHRS6 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DHRS6 protein, also known as dehydrogenase/reductase SDR family member 6, EFA6R, SDR15C1, UCPA-OR, UNQ6308, or BDH2, is a 245 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family, which is an evolutionarily conserved group of oxidoreductases found across all forms of life. One of the critical aspects of DHRS6 is its role in the peripheral utilization of 3-hydroxybutyrate, a key metabolite in energy metabolism, particularly during periods of fasting or prolonged exercise. Cytoplasmic localization of DHRS6, along with its high ratio of oxidized NAD+, enhances DHRS6′s ability to convert elevated levels of circulating 3-hydroxybutyrate into acetoacetate, thereby facilitating energy production and maintaining metabolic homeostasis. Two alternatively spliced isoforms of DHRS6 further underscore DHRS6′s functional diversity and potential significance in cellular survival and metabolic regulation.
