    SEE ALSO...

DGK-ι Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DGK-iota protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DGK-ι (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DGK-iota protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by phosphorylating diacylglycerol (DAG) to generate phosphatidic acid, which are both important lipid second messengers involved in various signaling pathways. This process is vital for regulating cell activation and secretion, influencing numerous physiological responses, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Notably, DGK-iota is predominantly expressed in the brain and retina, where DGK-iota contributes to the modulation of neuronal signaling and synaptic plasticity. The presence of DGK-iota in these tissues underscores its significance in neurobiology and potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases. With DGK-iota′s ability to interact with other diacylglycerol kinases and various signaling molecules, DGK-iota serves as a key player in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli.
