SEE ALSO...

DGK-α Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DGK-alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DGK-alpha antibody (C-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The diacylglycerol kinase alpha (DGK-α) protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by phosphorylating diacylglycerol (DAG) to generate phosphatidic acid, which are both important lipid second messengers involved in various signaling pathways. This enzymatic activity is vital for regulating cell activation and the secretion of exosomes that can influence cell death, thereby impacting processes such as immune response and cancer progression. Additionally, DGK-α is known to interact with other proteins involved in signaling pathways, further emphasizing its importance in cellular communication and function. The expression of DGK-α is particularly notable in immune cells, where DGK-α modulates responses to external stimuli, making DGK-α a significant target for research in immunology and therapeutic interventions.

I have ordered DGK-α Antibody (C-11) Alexa Fluor® 488, sc-271644 AF488 from you and want to try a flow cytometry with this antibody. I wonder do you have the concentration for this antibody and which staining I should use: intracellular or surface?

Asked by: Janny
Thank you for your question. sc-271644 AF488 is provided at a concentration of 200 µg in 1 mL. The exact epitope recognized by this mouse monoclonal antibody has not yet been determined. Based on IF and IHC(P) staining using the antibody, we observed both cytoplasmic and nuclear staining. The conjugated primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for flow cytometry (FCM), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!
