DDX3 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DDX3 antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX3 protein, also known as DEAD box polypeptide 3, plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, which is essential for various cellular processes such as gene expression regulation and RNA splicing. DDX3 localizes predominantly in nuclear speckles, where DDX3 participates in mRNA transport and translation initiation, thereby influencing cell cycle regulation. DDX3X is involved in the life cycle of certain viruses, including HIV-1 and hepatitis C, highlighting DDX3X′s importance in both normal cellular function and viral pathogenesis. The presence of two paralogs in humans, DDX3X and DDX3Y, underscores the evolutionary significance of this protein family, with DDX3Y being specifically expressed in the testis and essential for normal spermatogenesis.
