    SEE ALSO...

DC-SIGNR Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects DC-SIGNR in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DC-SIGNR, also known as CD209L or L-SIGN, is a type II integral membrane protein that shares 77% identity with DC-SIGN and is primarily expressed on sinusoidal endothelial cells. Anti-DC-SIGNR antibody (G-8) recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in the immune response by binding to E2 glycoproteins of hepatitis C virus, facilitating viral entry into host cells. The interaction between DC-SIGNR and hepatitis C virus is significant as this binding not only aids in virus evasion of the immune system but also contributes to infection pathogenesis. Understanding DC-SIGNR function is essential for developing therapeutic strategies against hepatitis C, as targeting this interaction could potentially hinder viral dissemination and improve patient outcomes. DC-SIGNR monoclonal antibody (G-8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying viral infection mechanisms and immune response.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393435 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
