DAZAP1 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DAZAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DAZAP1 antibody (D-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DAZAP1, or deleted in azoospermia-associated protein 1, is a crucial 407 amino acid RNA-binding protein primarily localized in the nucleus of round spermatids and the cytoplasm of elongated spermatids, playing a vital role in spermatogenesis. DAZAP1 contains two RNA recognition motifs, which facilitate interaction with DAZ mRNA, leading to the translation of DAZ proteins essential for germ cell development. Notably, DAZAP1 undergoes phosphorylation, a post-translational modification that causes dissociation from DAZ mRNA, thereby regulating the expression of DAZ proteins and ensuring proper protein translation. Additionally, DAZAP1 can form a fusion with the DNA-binding protein MEF-2D, which may disrupt critical signaling pathways and contribute to leukemogenesis. While DAZAP1 is predominantly expressed in the testis, expression also occurs at lower levels in the thymus, heart, liver, brain, and pancreas, and two isoforms arise from alternative splicing events, highlighting complex regulatory mechanisms in reproductive biology.
