Dab2 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Dab2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Dab2 (Disabled Homolog 2), also known as DOC-2, is a mitogen-responsive phosphoprotein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and growth regulation. Dab2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where Dab2 acts as a negative regulator of growth by binding to the SH3 domain of the GRB2 protein, thereby influencing various signaling pathways. Dab2′s cellular location enables modulation of growth factors and other signaling molecules, which is essential for maintaining proper cellular function and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. Additionally, Dab2 undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can further regulate Dab2′s activity and interactions with other proteins. Dab2′s ability to interact with proteins such as GRB2 highlights Dab2′s significance in cellular signaling networks, making Dab2 a valuable target for research in developmental biology and cancer studies.
