SEE ALSO...

Dab2 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Dab2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Dab2 antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dab2 protein, also known as DOC-2, plays a crucial role as a mitogen-responsive phosphoprotein that interacts with the SH3 domain of GRB2, suggesting involvement in cellular signaling pathways that regulate growth and development. Dab2 protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where function as a negative regulator of growth is particularly important in cellular responses to mitogenic signals. Dab2′s ability to modulate growth signals is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation, which can lead to tumorigenesis. Dab2′s interactions with other signaling proteins underscore significance in various cellular processes, including differentiation and migration, making Dab2 protein a valuable target for research in cancer biology and developmental studies.

is this antibody suitable for mouse kidney cryo section?

Asked by: jiayi
Thank you for your question. Anti-Dab2 Antibody (E-11) is recommended for detection of Dab2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. For this specific mouse kidney sample, you will need to check publications to see if it is a positive sample.

I am using Dab2 (E-11): sc-136964 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
