CYTIP Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CYTIP in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CYTIP, also known as PSCDBP (pleckstrin homology, Sec7 and coiled-coil domains, binding protein), CASP, or CYBR, is a cytoplasmic protein primarily expressed in hematopoietic cells, playing a crucial role in lymphocytic cell adhesion. CYTIP′s ability to regulate cytohesin-1, an integrin-activating protein, is vital for maintaining proper cell adhesion and signaling pathways. By mediating the recruitment of cytohesin-1 to the leukocyte membrane, CYTIP sequesters cytohesin-1 in the cytoplasm, preventing translocation to lymphocytes and thereby disrupting the flow of information in the cell adhesion pathway. CYTIP can be recruited to the membrane by leukocyte integrins through PDZ domain, and can return to the cytoplasm upon exposure to phorbol esters. CYTIP′s interaction with sorting nexin 27 (SNX27) highlights a role in coordinating trafficking and signaling complexes, while up-regulation in maturing dendritic cells suggests a significant function in developmentally-controlled cell adhesion. Anti-CYTIP antibody (E-12) is an essential tool for researchers studying the dynamics of cell adhesion and signaling in immune responses.
