CYTIP Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CYTIP in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CYTIP Antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYTIP, also known as PSCDBP (pleckstrin homology, Sec7 and coiled-coil domains, binding protein), CASP, or CYBR, is a cytoplasmic protein primarily expressed in hematopoietic cells, playing a crucial role in lymphocytic cell adhesion. CYTIP regulates cytohesin-1 activity, an integrin-activating protein essential for cell adhesion, by mediating recruitment to the leukocyte membrane. Through binding to cytohesin-1, CYTIP sequesters cytohesin-1 in the cytoplasm, preventing translocation to lymphocytes and disrupting cell adhesion signaling pathways. CYTIP can be recruited to the membrane by leukocyte integrins that interact with PDZ domain, and returns to the cytoplasm upon exposure to phorbol esters. CYTIP associates with sorting nexin 27, which aids in coordinating trafficking and signaling complexes. Up-regulation of CYTIP in maturing dendritic cells indicates a potential role in developmentally-controlled cell adhesion, making CYTIP a significant target for research in immunology and cell biology.
