    SEE ALSO...

Cypin Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Cypin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cypin (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cypin, also known as Cytoplasmic PSD-95 interactor, guanine deaminase, and nedasin S, plays a crucial role in regulating synaptic protein sorting, particularly in clustering membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) proteins at synaptic sites. Cypin is predominantly located in the cytoplasm of dendritic shafts and synaptic spine necks, where Cypin facilitates assembly of neurotransmitter receptors and associated signaling machinery, vital for effective synaptic transmission and plasticity. Cypin is expressed in non-neuronal cells, with significant levels found in the basal membrane of intestinal epithelial cells, kidney, liver, lung, brain, and spleen, while lower expression levels are observed in placenta, heart, and skeletal muscle. Native Cypin can exist as both a dimer and tetramer, which may influence functional interactions and regulatory mechanisms within cells.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393571 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
