CYP1A2 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CYP1A2 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CYP1A2, also known as Cytochrome P450 1A2, is a crucial heme-thiolate monooxygenase enzyme that plays a significant role in the NADPH-dependent electron transport pathway within liver microsomes. This enzyme is essential for the oxidation of various substrates, including fatty acids, steroids, and xenobiotics, which are vital for drug metabolism and detoxification processes in the liver. Notably, CYP1A2 is involved in the metabolism of several important pharmaceuticals, such as imipramine, propranol, and clozapine, highlighting CYP1A2′s relevance in pharmacokinetics and personalized medicine.
