Cyclin O Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin O protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cyclin O antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cyclin O, also known as CCNO, is a 350 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle, particularly in oocyte meiotic progression. CCNO helps control the activation of cyclin-dependent kinase complexes, which are vital for cell division and proper timing of cell cycle events. A gene located on human chromosome 5 encodes CCNO, making this protein part of the larger cyclin family that regulates different phases of cell cycle. CCNO expression is tightly regulated, with levels fluctuating according to cell cycle stages, thereby influencing associated kinase activity. Understanding CCNO function is important for elucidating mechanisms of cell cycle regulation and implications in reproductive biology and potential pathologies related to cell cycle dysregulation.
