SEE ALSO...

Cyclin D2 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect cyclin D2, a critical regulator of the cell cycle, across mouse, rat, and human species using applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cyclin D2 antibody (B-6) targets an epitope located between amino acids 261-289 at the C-terminus of the mouse cyclin D2 protein, ensuring precise recognition and minimal cross-reactivity. Cyclin D2, also called Ccnd2, cD2, Vin1, and Vin-1, plays a pivotal role in controlling the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase of the cell cycle by forming complexes with cyclin-dependent kinases Cdk4 and Cdk6, which phosphorylate the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein. This phosphorylation releases E2F transcription factors, thereby promoting the expression of genes essential for DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. Additionally, cyclin D2 interacts with regulatory proteins such as p21 and p27, which are cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors that modulate the activity of cyclin D2-Cdk complexes, ensuring proper cell cycle progression and preventing uncontrolled cell division. These interactions are crucial for maintaining normal cellular function and their dysregulation is often implicated in oncogenesis, making cyclin D2 a significant target for cancer research and therapeutic development. Anti-cyclin D2 antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated form and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing researchers with versatile options for diverse experimental needs. Cyclin D2 monoclonal antibody (B-6) supports advanced studies in cell cycle regulation, cancer biology, and the development of targeted therapies aimed at disrupting aberrant cell proliferation pathways.
