CWC22 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CWC22 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CWC22 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CWC22, also known as NCM, fSAPb, or EIF4GL, is a crucial component of the spliceosome C complex, which plays a vital role in the splicing of pre-mRNA—a key process in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. This 908 amino acid nuclear protein is associated with the spliceosome prior to catalytic steps and remains bound throughout the splicing reaction, ensuring accurate removal of introns and joining of exons. The presence of one MI domain and a MIF4G domain in CWC22 is significant, as these domains are essential for interaction with other spliceosomal components, facilitating assembly and function of the spliceosome. The gene encoding CWC22 is located on human chromosome 2q31.3, which is notable for being the second largest human chromosome, comprising approximately 8% of the human genome and containing over 1,400 genes. This extensive genetic landscape underscores the importance of CWC22 in the broader context of gene regulation and cellular function.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with CWC22 (A-6): sc-398178?

Asked by: Germaine
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
