CtIP Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CtIP in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CtIP, or C-terminal binding protein interacting protein, plays a crucial role in DNA damage response and repair, particularly in breast cancer, where CtIP interacts with the breast cancer gene BRCA1. This interaction regulates the transcription of the p21 gene, which is essential for cell cycle control and apoptosis in response to DNA damage. CtIP binds to BRCA1 through BRCT repeats to modulate BRCA1′s activity, thereby influencing cellular response to genotoxic stress. The regulation of p21 transcription by the CtIP/BRCA1 complex is critical for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis, highlighting CtIP′s importance in cancer biology and therapeutic strategies. Anti-CtIP antibody (F-2) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA repair mechanisms and CtIP′s role in various cellular processes.

Are there any issues with using sc-28324: CtIP (F-2) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-28324 conjugates.
