SEE ALSO...

CstF-64 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CstF-64 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CstF-64 plays a crucial role in the polyadenylation of mRNA precursors, a vital process for gene expression regulation, as CstF-64 is involved in the endonucleolytic cleavage of polyadenylation substrates. CstF-64 is essential for the proper maturation of mRNA, influencing the stability and translation efficiency of the transcripts. Notably, CstF-64 is expressed in all somatic cells and is particularly important during B cell activation, where CstF-64 concentration increases to facilitate the switch of immunoglobulin M (IgM) heavy chain mRNA from membrane-bound to secreted forms. This switch is critical for the immune response, as B cells can produce antibodies that effectively neutralize pathogens. The gene encoding CstF-64, designated CSTF2, is located on the X chromosome, highlighting CstF-64′s significance in cellular processes and potential implications in X-linked disorders. Anti-CstF-64 antibody (B-3) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying mRNA processing and its impact on gene expression in various biological contexts.
