    SEE ALSO...

CRTAM Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CRTAM protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRTAM (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Class-I MHC-restricted T cell associated molecule (CRTAM) serves as a crucial receptor predominantly expressed on activated cytotoxic lymphocytes, playing a significant role in their adhesion, interaction, and migration. CRTAM is one of the most highly expressed surface markers on activated human natural killer T cells and CD8 T cells, which underscores CRTAM′s potential as a diagnostic tool in various human viral and autoimmune diseases. CRTAM interacts with nectin-like protein 2 (Necl2), a protein essential for regulating interleukin-22 expression, thereby influencing immune responses. The Necl2/CRTAM interaction mediates cell-to-cell interactions, which may extend to neuronal interactions, highlighting CRTAM′s importance in both immune and nervous system functions. CRTAM expression in Purkinje neurons within the cerebellum suggests involvement in neural signaling pathways and potential implications in neurobiology.

Are there any issues with using sc-390581: CRTAM (C-12) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-390581 conjugates.
