Cox-1 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody designed to detect Cyclooxygenase-1 (Cox-1), also known as Prostaglandin-Endoperoxide Synthase 1 (PTGS1). Cox-1 is a crucial enzyme located in the endoplasmic reticulum and nuclear envelope of cells, where Cox-1 catalyzes the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2, a key precursor in the synthesis of various prostaglandins involved in maintaining physiological functions such as gastric mucosal protection, platelet aggregation, and renal blood flow regulation.
