COPZ1 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects COPZ1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). COPZ1, a crucial component of the coatomer protein complex I (COPI), plays a vital role in membrane and vesicular trafficking within the early secretory pathway, facilitating retrograde transport from the Golgi apparatus back to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) as well as intra-Golgi transport. The structure of COPZ1 is particularly important as COPZ1 forms part of the heptameric coatomer complex, which is essential for the assembly of COPI-coated vesicles. This complex is composed of two subcomplexes: one includes the β-, γ-, δ-, and ζ-COP subunits, while the other consists of α-COP, β′-COP, and ε-COP subunits.
