COPZ1 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects COPZ1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). COPZ1 (B-12) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. COPZ1 protein plays a crucial role in the formation of coat protein complex I (COPI) vesicles, which are essential for retrograde transport from the Golgi apparatus back to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and for intra-Golgi transport. This function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring proper protein sorting and trafficking within the cell. COPZ1 protein is part of the heptameric coatomer complex, which is composed of two subcomplexes: one includes the COPB, COPG, COPD, and COPZ subunits, while the other consists of the COPA, b′-COP, and COPE subunits. The interaction of COPZ1 with these subunits is critical for the assembly and stability of the COPI coat, which facilitates the transport of proteins and lipids necessary for various cellular processes. Using anti-COPZ1 antibody (B-12) in research can provide insights into the mechanisms of vesicular trafficking and the implications of COPI dysfunction in various diseases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works fine for western blotting (MCF7 cells)I used this antibody for western blotting on MCF7 cell extracts (dilution 1:1000, TBST-5%milk). It produces a clear band at the described size, however one might need stronger ECL reagent (like Femto) or more antibody to get stronger signal.
