Copine 3 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects copine 3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-copine 3 antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Copine 3, also known as CPNE3, CPN3, or COPN3, belongs to the copine family of evolutionarily conserved, soluble, calcium-dependent, membrane-binding proteins that play crucial roles in signal transduction and membrane trafficking. Copine 3 primarily resides in the cytosol as a monomer and undergoes a conformational change upon calcium binding, allowing interaction with cellular membranes. Copine 3′s ability to bind phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner is essential for membrane trafficking function, which supports various cellular processes, including vesicle transport and signal transduction pathways. Copine 3 contains two N-terminal C2 domains and one C-terminal von Willebrand factor A domain, contributing to structural integrity and functional versatility. Moreover, copine 3 may possess intrinsic kinase activity, distinguishing this protein from other copine family members and suggesting potential roles in cellular signaling mechanisms.
