COPG Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects COPG in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). COPG (A-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. COPG, also known as γCOP, plays a crucial role in the formation of coat protein complex I (COPI) vesicles, which are essential for retrograde transport from the Golgi apparatus back to the endoplasmic reticulum, as well as intra-Golgi transport. This retrograde transport is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring that proteins are correctly processed and recycled within the cell. The structure of COPG, as part of the heptameric coatomer complex, allows interaction with dilysine motifs on membrane proteins, facilitating their retrieval and preventing mislocalization. COPG exhibits the highest expression levels in mouse testis and is expressed in a parent-of-origin-specific manner in mammals, highlighting potential significance in reproductive biology and cellular function.
