COL4A3 Antibody (1042) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Collagen α3 Type IV (COL4A3) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). COL4A3 (1042) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. COL4A3 is a crucial component of the basement membrane, which serves as a supportive structure for tissues and organs. COL4A3′s proper function is vital for maintaining the integrity and stability of the extracellular matrix, influencing processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation. Abnormalities in COL4A3, including mutations in the COL4A3 gene, can lead to a range of diseases, including Alport syndrome, characterized by kidney dysfunction, hearing loss, and eye abnormalities. The unique triple helix structure of COL4A3 allows formation of networks that provide mechanical support and filtration properties in tissues, underscoring COL4A3′s importance in both health and disease. Anti-COL4A3 antibody (1042) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into COL4A3′s role in various biological processes and implications in pathological conditions.
