    SEE ALSO...

COL23A1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects COL23A1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-COL23A1 antibody (C-10) is available as a non-conjugated antibody. COL23A1, also known as collagen alpha-1 (XXIII) chain, is a crucial component of the extracellular matrix, functioning primarily as a single-pass type II membrane protein that forms a homotrimer. COL23A1 consists of 540 amino acids and features five collagen-like domains, which are essential for structural integrity and function. These domains allow COL23A1 to participate in the formation of complex connective tissues, contributing to the overall architecture and mechanical properties of tissues such as tendons and cartilage. COL23A1 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in two distinct isoforms, which may have different functional roles in tissue development and repair. The gene encoding COL23A1 is located on human chromosome 5, highlighting evolutionary significance and potential implications in various biological processes. Anti-COL23A1 antibody (C-10) enables valuable insights into the role of COL23A1 in cellular adhesion and tissue homeostasis, making this antibody an essential tool for studies focused on connective tissue biology and related disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514835 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
